It is just about time for April and our One-Skein Project of the Month! How are you progressing on your Rustic Aran Hats? It isn’t too late (just before 3/31) to finish up your knitting or crocheting and bring it in to the shop to get registered to win yarn for April!
Since it is (going to be) April, we thought to feature some “spring cleaning” projects. You’ll find these projects to be easy and portable: just right for knitting or crocheting on the go! Each of these patterns are also easily adjustable since they don’t have to fit!
Our crochet pattern is called “Puff Dreams” by CraftsEverywhere. This is a $4.00 pattern to make a super soft & squishy hand towel. Are you an experienced crocheter? You will find this pattern to be the perfect combination of “fun and easy” & “learn something new”. Are you a beginner like me? There might be a lot to learn, but if you persist you will learn a lot AND make someone in your life a sweet homemade gift. Once you learn those puffs, you’ll never want to stop! I will definitely be making another!
The knit pattern is “The Ridge Hand Towel” by Knit On Designs by Deb Buckingham. It is a $3.50 pattern and makes a pretty, textured hand towel with a handy loop to hang by your sink!
These hand towels make the perfect gift for the person in your life who is hard to shop for. Even if that person is you!
For April, we have chosen to feature a nice, soft worsted weight 100% cotton yarn called “Coastal Cotton” or “Coastal Cotton Ocean Mist” by Queensland Yarns.
