February Yarn/Project of the Month
Are you just joining us for the One Skein Gift of the Month? Each month we will share a fun one skein knit pattern and a fun one skein crochet pattern. We will suggest a yarn to use with the pattern. If you come to the store, buy the yarn, make the project before the end of the month, and bring it back in to show us, we will enter you in a drawing to win the yarn for the next month’s pattern! Our knit pattern is a cute pair of fingerless mitts called “Andrea’s Mitts” by Adrienne Krey and is available as a free Ravelry.com download. They knit up really fast, are easily adjustable to customize the size and, the best part: you get to use a pair of cute buttons! (Don’t forget to stop in the store and check out our great collection of buttons!) When I knit these, I went down one needle size and increased the cast-on to 34.
And if crocheting is your preferred craft, look at this cute ear warmer from Maria’s Blue Crayon called “Twisted Crochet Ear Warmer”. This pattern is available on Ravelry for $3.99. When you are working on this pattern, be sure to leave room in
your fabric for the alpaca to bloom! It will be so soft and warm and oh-so snuggly; also room for your ponytail!
