It’s almost May! Have you made a bunch of hand towels to give away? They make a great gift!! Don’t forget to bring in a finished hand towel made with Coastal Cotton before the end of the month to get entered to win the yarn for the May One Skein Project/Gift of the Month!
Speaking of yarn, the May recommended yarn is Ella Rae “Marmel”. Marmel is a DK weight cotton and acrylic blend. Perfect for the warmer weather that’s coming! It stripes in multi colors giving a beautiful “marbled” effect (Marmel is old English for “marble”—get it?). Rachael and I both enjoyed using this yarn and both had plenty of leftover!

Our one skein knitting project is: “May I Borrow This, Please?” by Lorraine Waitman (free! on Ravelry.com). This is a sweet little shawlette that has plenty of stitches to keep a knitter interested. I knit this project on size 8 needles because I liked the fabric better than on the suggested size 9. If you choose to stick with size 9 needles, beware: you might be playing yarn chicken.
Our one skein crochet project is: “Finding Calm” by CJ Brady ($3.50 on

Ravelry.com). This is also a sweet little shawlette with an interesting way to start a crochet project. Rachael crocheted this project in the small size with a size H hook. She is continuing her crochet journey and learned a lot with this pattern!
Happy one skein creating!!
