Luminous Block #3
Hello Quilt-Along Friends!!
I hope you all had a good couple weeks and were able to get caught up on your Luminous blocks. I think it is nice to have a slow-paced sew along so you don’t get overwhelmed. Whether you are caught up or not, we are ready to start working on Block #3 Ostara (And if you aren’t ready, it doesn’t matter! You can do what you can do when you can do it!) You will be making three blocks. Here are photos of the blocks that Mary, Amy, Maggie and I made [add photos]. Block # 3 is especially fun for playing with colors, values and scales. I think it is especially cool that all these blocks are the same, and yet so very different from each other. This quilt is all about “a study in color”, some of us didn’t use the fabrics as the pattern called for them for one reason or another (too little contrast, not the right scale of print etc). Feel free to express your creativity and choose fabrics as you go. Make it YOURS!
