We are so excited to welcome Anne Sullivan to our Wooden Spools teaching team! Her first class is that wonderful classic knit, the Baby Surprise Jacket!
Knit in one piece, and using EZ’s clever construction, this sweater/jacket makes an adorable gift for the special little one in your life. The Baby Surprise Jacket is a wonderful way to open the door to EZ’s world of knitting techniques! We will decipher EZ’s “pithy” instructions while knitting a worsted weight jacket to fit a 9-month to 1-year-old (18”-19” chest).
Commonly referred to as the “BSJ”, the Baby Surprise Jacket is “a very entertaining piece of knitted engineering”
Techniques used in this class:
· Cast On
· Garter Stitch
· Increases
· Decreases
· Picking Up Stitches
· Yarn-Over Buttonhole
· Bind Off
· Sewn Seams
Class will include tips for adding stripes and adjusting sizes.
