ZOOM Knitting Taster with Michelle Bowman
March 30 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Not sure if you’ll be able to knit, or if you’ll like it? Maybe you tried it once long ago and thought you couldn’t do it, but you’d like to give it another go. Here’s a ‘taster’ class, taught by a very patient teacher who once thought knitting was beyond her reach. This is very small-group; 1-4 people. We’ll put needles in your hands, show you how knitting works, and help you decide if it’s something you want to try. This would be a great class for a parent and age 6+ child to see if the child is ready or interested in knitting; if only the child knits, then only a single enrollment is charged. This class is taught via Zoom. Class and session length: 1 session, 1.5 hours
Supplies: Class kit which includes yarn and size 8 straight needles which will have some knitting already worked onto them. ($12.99)
There are some technology requirements: students should access the video portion of class with something larger than a smart phone, and it’s best if the same device has both 2-way audio and video, so teacher and student can both see and hear each other well. However, students could access class using one device for audio and one device for video. Not sure if your device(s) will work? Ask for a ‘tech check’ and we’ll connect you with the teacher to run a test before you sign up for class. Students should also have a way to view and print PDF handouts.
